About Unapologetic Campaign
In Newark, New Jersey, charter schools were given the green light by state and local leaders to answer the call from thousands of families and children on the waiting list for a high quality public education. In doing so Charter schools would be able to offer additional seats and provide a choice to families who desperately wanted the best school for their children.
As families celebrated the new possibilities that were before them the Education Law Center initiated a lawsuit to take this option away.
This ignited a movement by and for parents to express their rights to choice. These parents have come together under the Unapologetic Parents Campaign. We need your support in order for parents to know they are not alone on what could be a long road to get officials to understand their needs around this issue.
